Advanced MPR121 tuning
These settings affect all 32 cells. Debounce is applied to the final
game-visible status after the MPR latch and delta gate. Higher values
reject more noise but add latency. Defaults: 1/1, FFI 0, SFI 1, ESI 0.
Consecutive touch cycles before press
1~6 ms
Consecutive release cycles before release

First Filter Iterations · front-end noise averaging
Second Filter Iterations · final smoothing window
Electrode Sample Interval · time between filter samples
Detection cycle: 6 samples × 1 ms = ~6 ms.
FFI averages the first-stage charge measurements. Raise it to suppress
high-frequency electrical noise; large values increase scan work.
SFI controls how many second-stage samples form each touch decision.
ESI controls the time between those samples. Raising either smooths
noisy readings, but directly increases response and debounce time.
Sensitivity; 50 = stock thresholds.
Delta Gate; A threshold filter. If sweat or something else is causing false touches. ie. If the gate is 30 it will not register an input inside the game.
Slider Delay; Artificial delay to the ground slider. 60hz Arcade user 120hz at home recommended delay: 26ms
